If you are about to introduce a dog into your family, here’s a few things to bear in mind.
Bringing a dog in to your family is a wonderful experience. There is nothing like the unconditional love you experience from a canine companion. However, it is not anything that should ever be done lightly. The same can be said for bringing any pet in to your family.
There are lots of things you need to take into consideration before finally making the decision so here are a few tips to help you.
Do you have the time?
Dogs need a lot of training, socialisation and exercise.
Can you provide for a dog for the whole of his life?
Take into consideration the cost. Dogs need neutering, regular worming and parasite control, vaccinations and of course feeding! They may also need Veterinary treatment from time to time. As the dog gets older, he may require more veterinary treatment. Remember, depending on the breed of dog, he can live up to 16 years old or even older.
Consider your lifestyle
Do your research and decide what type of dog is best for you.
