PowisVets supports Mary Stevens Hospice Summer Fayre

Last Saturday, a number of the Powis Vets team were delighted to support Mary Stevens Hospice Summer Fayre. There was a stand where the next generation of budding vets and veterinary nurses could show off their bandaging skills and win a cuddly toy. We were very impressed with their skills and hope the children enjoyed it! Any furry friends visiting were able to have their hearts listened to and have a chat with the vets, including one of the partners Pippa. One of our veterinary nurses, Jo, brought along her gorgeous chihuahuas, Crystal and Maya, who gave cuddles to anyone who needed one! They were superstars.

The heavens opened for the Dog Show but that didn’t deter the pooches’ performances! The beautiful Roxy the rottie won ‘Best Rescue’, Fred with a frantic tail won ‘Best Wag’, Willow showed off her impeccable obedience to win ‘My dogs got talent’, Trixie the pint-sized Pomeranian won ‘Prettiest Pooch’ and Parker the sensational spaniel won ‘Handsome Hound’. The category of ‘the dog the judge would like to take home’ was won by the cutest cavapoo Ernie. It was a lovely afternoon for us all but the best part was making a fabulous £204.50 for this very worthy cause.
