Please note:

*If a vet has authorised a repeat prescription, the maximum time period without a further examination, is usually 6 months, but this may vary in accordance with the Vet’s instructions. It is important for the weight and health of your pet to be regularly monitored to ensure the correct medication and dosage is continued.

**In order to prescribe your flea and worm treatment you may need a vet consultation. Please place your order on line, we will follow RCVS guidelines and if you need a veterinary consultation we will let you know. This consultation is to determine the level of parasite treatment that your pet needs. We will work with you to carry out a risk assessment based on your pet’s lifestyle and behaviour so we can prescribe the appropriate flea and worm treatment.

Written Prescriptions:

At PowisVets we are happy for you to request a written prescription for your medications. We have a process designed to make this as easy as possible for you.

Please read the information below if you would like a written prescription.

Before placing your order with an online pharmacy we ask that you request your pet’s written prescription from us. You can do this via PowisVets website, WhatsApp, over the phone and in the surgery at reception.

Once your request has been authorised by the prescribing vet, our Customer Care Team will notify you by WhatsApp or telephone and you can then place your order at the pharmacy of your choice. You will receive an order reference number from the pharmacy.

We will then contact you via WhatsApp for the name of your chosen pharmacy, your order number and payment for the written prescription.

Once we have received this information, your pet’s prescription will be emailed directly to the online pharmacy.

Timescales:

Requests placed by midnight on Monday will be available for collection after 2pm on THURSDAY.
Requests placed by midnight on Tuesday will be available for collection after 2pm on FRIDAY.
Requests placed by midnight on Wednesday will be available for collection after 2pm on MONDAY.
Requests placed by midnight on Thursday will be available for collection after 2pm on TUESDAY.
Requests placed after midnight on Thursday to midnight on Sunday will be available for collection after 2pm on WEDNESDAY.

Please supply all relevant information and place one form submission per pet

If you have more than one pet you need to order medication for, you should submit one form for each pet. If there are any problems we will contact you.

Supply your order like the following examples, you can order a number of items for each pet, use a separate line for each item:
