Exciting Times!
Hello Everyone,
We are getting close to finishing now and the excitement is building. There are still some finishing touches to do. The whole team is busy working together so we can open next week.
For our clients there are lots of different things to be excited about. Some additional non-clinical benefits include: having traffic lights so you can turn into the practice; having dedicated parking spaces when you visit us and Tesco is very close if you need to pop and buy anything!
Every time I go round I can imagine you and your pets being there. The future will be amazing in our new building.
We’ll have the most up to date facilities, so specialists can visit us rather than you traveling to them. Surgeons can have their own room to perform complex procedures, while the day to day running of the practice continues. Not only will your visit be easier we will run more efficiently.
Our team can reach their full potential, which in turn means your pet can get the best care. We love to help people develop. We train new vets, nurses, nursing assistants and customer care team members to keep providing the highest level of services. Everyone works towards further qualifications, the learning never stops.
So many of our vets, nurses and team have come to work for us and stayed to develop their careers. Here are just a few examples of what is going on behind the scenes:
- We have Hannah who has completed her diploma in companion animal behaviour. Offering you the chance to have behaviour consultations with a qualified vet.
- Chloe is our student nurse, Jane, Jemma and Tori are all working towards exams and courses.
- Of course we mustn’t forget our customer care team who regularly study and complete Veterinary Client Care awards.
- We have veterinary students who join us through their holidays and we help them to learn some practical veterinary skills.
Saul and I are dedicated to giving you a veterinary practice that is always improving, always cares and always has compassion while delivering modern and advanced care.
Having worked at 19 Audnam from 1999 I’ve seen improvements including:
- The waiting room extended and the consult rooms changed.
- The flats that at one time or another David, Jo and I have lived in are now turned offices and staff areas.
- In covid we built shelters to keep you all dry.
We have made use of every available space and now we can’t fit in any more. We are going to appreciate the space more than anything!
Building the new practice has been an adventure and I have loved doing it. It is exciting that we are nearly there and there is so much potential for the future.
Here are a few photos so you can see what’s going on between the scenes:
